Founder Russell Ford started working construction on the ground level doing residential projects with his father and brother in Northern California back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. He eventually moved back to Los Angeles where he was able to begin working his way through the ranks at another small, young, and up-and-coming construction company by the name of Ramland Construction. For many years, Russell dedicated himself to Ramland and was able to help complete many wonderful projects there.  Eventually, it was time for Russell to throw his hat in the ring and begin what is now Ford Development.

At this point Ford Development has become one of the select contractors specializing in the hospitality and tenant improvement sector.  Ford Development consists of a solid team of approximately 20 staff ranging from a Director of Construction to field superintendents or specialty tradesmen. The on-staff carpenters and tradesman have been trained to handle the work that is difficult to sub-contract out which makes them instrumental to aide our ability to be agile and manage any changes in real time that crop up throughout the building process.
