“Whether or not you're from Arizona, the restaurant's greatest strength is its look and feel. Above all, Salazar is a triumph of atmosphere,” Besha Rodell LA WEEKLY.
Salazar is the brainchild of Billy Silverman and Mexicali Taco & Co co-founder Esdras Ochoa, who worked with Project M+ and Ford Development to retool a former auto body shop into a taco and craft beer outdoor oasis. Tucked away on a sleepy corner of Fletcher Drive near the L.A. River, this lauded Mexican restaurant isn't the place for drive-by ogling; it is almost completely obscured from view by tall black fencing. Salazar boasts a wealth of breezy open space, in which the L.A. succulents and pastel chairs mingle with towering trees and hot-pink bougainvillea.
Location: 2490 Fletcher Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90039
Design Architects: Project M+
Full-Service Construction: Ford Development
